Jammin on the Wolf; July 28-30

Hey Stretch fans! The ice and snow has melted in Chicago and The Stretch is thawed out and ready to rock. We’re excited to announce our appearance at the 3rd Annual Jammin’ on the Wolf festival in Langlade, WI July 28th-30th. Lots of great music, camping and rafting on the Wolf River!
We’re also excited about some upcoming shows at the Abbey Pub in Chicago. We’ll be there the second Saturday of every month starting May 14th. We’ve been busy writing some new tunes so come check it out!

And......we\'re back.

And better than ever. A couple chances to hear us in December with more stuff in the works for after the holidays. First stop will be Cab\'s Bistro in Glen Ellyn on December 5th. Cab\'s is one of our old stomping grounds, and we\'re excited it will be our first stop since taking some time off. After that we are recurring last year\'s New Year\'s Eve party at The Bird\'s Nest in Chicago. It was a blast last year and should be even better this time around. We look forward to seeing you at a show, stay tuned for more updates!

2008, we are really sorry to see you go. You were so farkin awesome to us. Our CD got awesome reviews in Relix and the Illinois Entertainer. We played at 10k lakes, two nights with Dave Mathews and Rothbury. Rothbury was the best fest I’ve ever been to. Lets hope we can all go back in 2009. So far it looks like 2009 just may top 2008. It’s starting off with a bang. Our NYE show was incredible. We will have a bunch of pictures up by the end of the week, so if you were there come see yourself and if not come see what you missed. Thanks to our good friends from 3 in Counting for sharing the night with us. We also are playing on January 3rd with Ekoostic Hookah at Martyrs! What a great band. What a great bar. It iss going to be GREAT!. This summer we willl hopefully be making the rounds to a few festivals and we know some of you will be there too. Thanks for all the support in 2008 and we wish everyone all the best in 2009. Cheers!

NEWS FLASH!

After an amazing summer, its time for a news flash from The Stretch. We are going to be hitting the road again and traveling around the Midwest. We have dates in Indiana, Michigan, Wisconsin and more to come. So check out the shows tab, mark your calendar, and come on tour with us. Also, pick up a copy of Relix magazine as we are featured on the complication CD that comes with every issue. We have new videos on YouTube and many of our best shows are now featured on Archive.org. Be sure to check our website often as we will be adding updates regularly. See you soon.

After lots of contemplation and suggestions, Uncle Boogie Pants has officially changed their name to "The Stretch." The new website will be available shortly at www.thestretchmusic.com Thank you to all of the fans who have continued to support The Stretch. Rothbury was a huge success and the band is looking forward to a great summer. -Flea

Uncle Boogie Pants certainly has the jamband blueprint down straight: Volume and Verse is full of ripping guitar solos, carefully calculated compositions and tight multi part harmonies. 05/01/08: THANKS TO YOU, WE'RE HEADED TO 10,000 LAKES!

Thanks to the amazing turn out of fans, friends, and family at the "Cosmic Break Battle of the Bands" this past weekend, Uncle Boogie Pants won and will be playing at this years 10,000 Lakes Festival! It's an incredible opportunity for us and we're excited beyond words.

To those of you who came out to support us, we can't thank you enough! It really means the world to us. You guys, and gals, are the ABSOLUTE GREATEST!!
